Lucky 7 Longhorns

This fellow’s four-colored brindle, wild-type coloring and genetic potential for both long-horned sons and daughters make him an exciting young sire. Luxor is hand tamed and should deliver horn length and color for both heifer and bull calves. His horn base is getting very impressive and the dark red growth zone has really kicked in with Spring. Luxor is spending the next few months at Lee Falkenhagen's F-Bar Longhorn ranch for an extra dose of Phenomenon. Photo at 21 months. Horns measured 5/25.

With Hatch's Candy Cane and Bet I Can as granddams there are only a handful of bulls out there I know of with such a stacked pedigree for horn and color. Steve Gaskill at Broken Wagon sold my folks Hal and Sandi and I this wonderful little bull calf. Vincent is stocky, and solid walnut with a bright white mealy nose. His black horns are steadily growing and pointing in the right direction. We call him Vincent because part of his left ear is missing from frostbite when he was just a couple of days old. 2006 clean up bull, his genetics made wonderful heifer calves. His dam and both granddams are stunning cows and if his calves get color from the mother- the horn is already there. Photo at 16 months.

Big Boy, as we very affectionately refered to him, spent the winter and spring at L7 and was diligent in his duties. A million thanks to Wes and Carol Chancey for leasing me this amazing young bull- with five cows/heifers settled to Mountain Man, we think Fall 2007 is going to be an exciting time. His Granddams are stellar cows- JR Giselle and Osage Dixie Princess are among the top cows in the breed- he is stacked for superb daughters. Horns measured 5/25.
